The Sumatran Tiger
The smallest subspecies of tiger, and among the rarest,
the Sumatran Tiger, (Panthera Tigris Sumatrae), is a beautiful, agile and deadly hunter. The Sumatran Tiger is critically endangered, with only hundreds remaining in the wild. Many organisations are trying to save the species. But not enough. The population is decreasing rapidly, and without help, Sumatran Tigers may become extinct in less than 10 years. |
